The Camrose Spirals recreational skipping program is a non-competitive jump rope program for children 6 years old and up. This program runs for 8 weeks in the fall. Our recreation program provides and gives kids opportunities to learn beginner jump rope skills with single ropes as well as double dutch. This recreational program is designed to help children learn and develop a foundation of physical fitness activities by improving balance, coordination, and flexibility all in a fun, non-competitive environment.
This program is taught by members of our competitive team and lead by our head instructor Sharene Lamson. We also use and follow the CANSkip program provided by Rope skipping Alberta. CANSkip is Canada’s national rope skipping skill development program. The program consists of 12 levels of single rope and long rope/double dutch.
Cost:
$180 for the 8-week session This includes a personally sized jump rope for your child. There is no fundraising required. Payment is made by e-transfer or can be made by cash in person on the community registration night.
